Arunachal Pradesh

Our second expeditions was the the remote North-East region of India, Arunachal Pradesh.

This state has only opened up to travelers in recent years, and is till a remote and difficult region to get around. It is believed that there is enough Hydroelectric potential here to power the whole of India, but in terms of kayaking many of the rivers are still relatively unexplored.

Many of the inhabitants still live a traditional tribal lifestyle, although development is rapidly taking a hold of this state.
