Wilhelmsen Bolig

This is a house that I drew with Arvid Pedersen while working with Lund Hagem Arkitekter.

The client, Are Wilhelmsen, is a single man who wanted an open, light house, with a good workshop.

The house is in Asker, about 20km outside of Oslo. The site itself was very challenging, as it lies in a position where the neighbouring houses, and people on the busy road, look straight into the site.

To create privacy we placed the building with its back to the road, opening up to the steep, tree covered slope at the back of the site, which is hit by the sun, most of the day.

The only opening towards the street, is a large corner window towards the stunning view of Oslo Fjord.
